Southwold Pier welcomes dogs on a lead in most indoor areas, including the arcade.

Dogs must be on a lead along the promenade, whilst Southwold Beach has seasonal restrictions for dogs.

Things To See & Do

A stroll along the pier is the highlight. Walk to the end, breathe the sea air, and enjoy town views.

There are a few great spots along the pier where you can sit outside with your dog and soak it all in.

Southwold Pier is known for its unusual, handmade machines, a bit of fun and something different, and for allowing dogs inside the arcade.

The pier links nicely into a longer seaside walk. Head along the promenade for an easy, flat route with plenty to see.

Depending on the time of year, you can pair your visit with a walk along Southwold Beach.
