About
Southwold Pier always brings a smile.
Extending into the North Sea, Southwold Pier has all the traditional British charm with a quirky twist. Expect colourful beach huts nearby, panoramic sea views, and a few surprises as you wander.
The pier makes a great place to visit with your dog as a break from the sand. Stroll, pause to take in sea views, or enjoy coffee as your dog watches the world.

Dog Access and Rules
Southwold Pier welcomes dogs on a lead in most indoor areas, including the arcade.
Dogs must be on a lead along the promenade, whilst Southwold Beach has seasonal restrictions for dogs.
Things To See & Do
A stroll along the pier is the highlight. Walk to the end, breathe the sea air, and enjoy town views.
There are a few great spots along the pier where you can sit outside with your dog and soak it all in.
Southwold Pier is known for its unusual, handmade machines, a bit of fun and something different, and for allowing dogs inside the arcade.
The pier links nicely into a longer seaside walk. Head along the promenade for an easy, flat route with plenty to see.
Depending on the time of year, you can pair your visit with a walk along Southwold Beach.
Access and Facilities
Southwold offers seafront parking by the pier, as well as pier toilets, shops, cafes, restaurants, and kiosks.
