About
Broughton Bay beach is a big sandy beach backed by large sand dunes on the Gower peninsula. At the southern end of the bay, several small coves are accessible at low tide, but be careful not to get cut off as the tide comes in.
At low tide, you can also access the Whiteford Sands beach to the north.
There are no lifeguards; the currents can be strong, and swimming is not recommended.

Broughton Bay Beach allows dogs year-round and is a great dog-friendly option, though it has no facilities other than paid car parking.

Access and Facilities
Along the bay, you’ll find a few caravan sites, but no facilities.
For parking, you have a couple of options: the Whiteford Beach Car Park in Llanmadoc, then a walk down to the beach, or Broughton Farm Caravan Park (SA3 1JP), which has paid parking 400m from the south end of the beach.
