About
Bailiffscourt Hotel is part of a 30-acre estate that connects to the beach at Climping. The hotel is split over many buildings and feels like stepping back in time, with a medieval-style house, thatched houses, cottages, stone fireplaces, and timber beams. The surrounding grounds are perfect for peaceful walks, with winding pathways, open lawns, and secluded spots where you can sit and chill.
The hotel makes a perfect West Sussex base, with easy access to coastal walks and the nearby towns of Littlehampton, Arundel, Bognor Regis, and Chichester.
Dog Access and Rules
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Bailiffscourt with a per-night fee per dog (up to two dogs per room). Dogs stay in the room with you and are welcome everywhere except the Spa and Restaurant. You can dine with your dog in the Courtyard, Rose Garden, or lounges.
When around the hotel, your dogs must be kept on their lead.
Things To See & Do
Bailiffscourt is an ideal base for exploring the West Sussex coast and countryside. Start your day by walking around the hotel’s beautiful grounds, letting your dog stretch their legs and explore the open spaces. Then head to Climping Beach, where dogs are welcome year-round, making it perfect for a seaside adventure. The beach is mostly pebbles with sandy stretches at low tide, offering plenty of space for a run and a paddle.
If you want to explore further, drive to the nearby South Downs National Park, which offers endless walking trails and breathtaking views. Visit the charming town of Arundel, just a 10-minute drive away, where you can explore the shops and stroll along the riverbank. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in Arundel Castle, but many cafes and pubs are dog-friendly, so you can enjoy a bite to eat while your pup relaxes at your feet.
