About
Middleton-on-Sea Beach is a great family dog-friendly beach with a high water pebble area and then sands at mid to low tide when you can walk for miles to Bognor Regis or Littlehampton.
Dog Access and Rules
Middleton-on-Sea Beach allows dogs all year round!
Things To See & Do
The beach has a high pebble bank with some grass area, but the pebbles can be steep to go down. You have good rock pools at low tide around the rock coastal defence that sits off the beach towards Elmer Sands, and these sea defence rocks, along with the groynes, also provide some natural protection from any on-shore wind.
Generally, it is a great beach for dog owners, and it is never too busy. It has good tide conditions and plenty of room for dogs to run around. If you are staying in a busy Bognor Regis, there is always an option to walk down the beach to escape the crowds, although at the cost of fewer facilities.
Access and Facilities
You have no facilities on the beach, but Middleton-on-Sea has a couple of pubs, chippy, cafes and shops.
It is very hard to park by Middleton-on-Sea beach as private gated estates back the beach with no vehicle access, although a few public footpaths lead from the main road to the beach with some parking (postcode PO22 7SR) in the village centre.
