About
Worthing Beach sits along the coast of West Sussex, welcoming you with its long pebbly shores and sandy patches at low tide. Unlike its busy neighbour Brighton, this relaxed spot is beloved by locals and visitors alike, offering a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of room to stroll, play, and unwind.
Dog Access and Rules
While Worthing Beach does have some dog restrictions on the central stretch between Heene Road and Splash Point Rocks during the summer months (May 1st to September 30th), dogs are warmly welcomed to enjoy all other areas of the beach year-round. Bring your dog and make the most of the spacious coastline together! Knowing these seasonal policies can help you plan your visit any time of the year.

Things To See & Do
For example, take a pleasant stroll with your dog along Worthing’s long, wide promenade. Soak in beautiful sea views and pause at inviting benches to relax and enjoy the scenery together.
During low tide, the dog-friendly stretch of beach invites you and your dog to enjoy sandy stretches perfect for running and play. The lovely mix of pebbles and sand creates exciting terrain, and with the tide out, you can discover plenty of firm sand and shallow pools, adding fun for both you and your dog.
Access and Facilities
Worthing has several parking options near the beach, including convenient street parking and public car parks, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a day by the sea.
We suggest you park toward the dog-friendly western end; many roads offer free on-street parking. The walk along the promenade to the pier is roughly 30 minutes.
Additionally, the town has many dog-friendly cafes and pubs, perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal or drink together. Worthing town centre, just a short stroll from the beach, provides a delightful range of shops where you’ll easily find all your essentials close at hand.
