Harewood is a dog-friendly day out. While dogs (exception guide dogs) aren’t permitted inside Harewood House, Adventure Playground, or Woodland Wonderland, they’re welcome in the extensive grounds, including the parkland and woodland.
Dogs should be kept on a lead to ensure the safety of wildlife and other visitors.

Harewood House is an 18th-century stately home surrounded by 100 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds designed by the famous Capability Brown. It has been home to the Lascelles family for generations and boasts a rich history, fine art collections, and breathtaking architecture.

Harewood House is easily accessible by car and is located on the A61 between Leeds and Harrogate. On-site parking is available.
For public transport, buses run regularly from Leeds and Harrogate to the estate.
The Courtyard Cafe and Bothy Teahouse have outdoor seating areas where dogs are welcome. It’s a great spot to pause for refreshments with your pup after a walk.
