The stretch between Climping and Elmer now seems to be left to the mercy of the conditions and has changed so much. You need to be a little careful, as the high-water coast path has taken a battering and can be risky underfoot or just missing in places. So we recommend walking at mid- to low tide when you can stick to the beach.

Climping Beach is accessible by car, and a paid car park is beside the beach. During the off-season, there is also a small amount of free parking along the approach road, which can fill up quickly.

Climping Beach's facilities are limited, which helps maintain its natural charm. There are some basic toilets near the car park and a cafe that operates seasonally and offers refreshments and light meals.

Another option is to take the short walk back up the road to dog-friendly The Black Horse pub.
