Loe Bar Beach is a dog-friendly beach that is located to the east of Porthleven.

This is a fascinating beach as it is a sand bar of shingle/flint that separates Loe, which is the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall from the sea. The uniqueness makes this a Designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The sea has very strong currents and swimming is not recommended.

No facilities at the beach and for the nearest facilities you need to head along the road into Porthleven.
