Stackpole is a coastline estate managed by the National Trust with sandy beaches, wooded valleys, farmland and walking trails. It includes the small harbour, Stackpole Quay, nestled amongst cliffs with a pebbled beach revealed at low tide.
As much of the coast path is also farmland, dogs should be kept on a lead around livestock and wildlife, although dogs can have a good run on the golden sandy beaches, including Barafundle Bay and Broad Haven South.
Bosherston lakes, part of the Stackpole Estate, were created in the 18th century by damming three valleys. The lakes cover 32 hectares (80 acres) and are now a Nature Reserve, supporting a variety of wildlife, including water lilies, dragonflies, waterfowl and otters.
The Boathouse tea room is open every day from Easter until October and at weekends out of season with dog-friendly outside seating.
