Gwenver Beach (also known as Gwynver Beach) is a secluded, dog-friendly beach that rarely gets crowded. It is ideal for beach visits and cliff walks, with excellent coastal paths and breathtaking views. At high tide, the beach slopes steeply into the sea and can be dangerous, at low tide Gwenver Beach joins up with its neighbour Sennen Cove Beach.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are allowed year-round at Gwenver (Gwynver) Beach, but at low tide it connects to Sennen Cove, which has seasonal restrictions you should be aware of.

Access and Facilities
A seasonal lifeguard service and car parking are available above Gwenver during the primary season, with a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Out of season, a small area accommodates approximately ten cars.

So- the beach can get crowded during peak season as there is a massive camp site with direct access to the beach. Also swimming is in a very restricted area due to dangerous rip tides. We wouldn’t let our Labrador swim freely. It is dog friendly though and if you want a beach to just chill out on it’s perfect.
