Harbour Cove Beach

Harbour Cove is a great dog-friendly sandy beach that becomes a very large flat beach at low tide. The beach is a north-facing beach within the Camel Estuary and one of the limited all-year dog-friendly options in the area.

The beach is also known as Tregirls beach named after the nearby farm.

No facilities, other than a tea room at the farm on the road above the beach. Car parking is in a field down a rough track from the road and then you will need to walk down a sloping path through some trees to get to the beach itself.

You can walk to Padstow (about 1 mile) with some great views over to Brae Hill and the beaches at Rock. This is where the notorious Doom Bar spit is located extending from the northeast point of the beach. Most people will recognise the name Doom Bar from the famous beer named after the spit, brewed on the North Cornish Coast by Sharp’s Brewery.
