About
Harbour Cove is a great dog-friendly sandy beach that becomes a very large flat beach at low tide. The beach is a north-facing beach within the Camel Estuary and one of the limited all-year dog-friendly options in the area.
The beach is also known as Tregirls Beach, named after the nearby farm.
There are no facilities besides a tea room at the farm on the road above the beach. Car parking is in a field down a rough track from the road, and then you will need to walk down a sloping path through some trees to get to the beach.
You can take a brilliant dog walk to Padstow (about 1 mile), with great views over Brae Hill and Rock’s beaches. The notorious Doom Bar spit extends from the top point of the beach. Most people will recognise Doom Bar from the famous beer named after the spit, brewed on the North Cornish Coast by Sharp’s Brewery.
