Penhale Dunes and Perranporth Beach form a three-mile stretch of excellent sand. Backed by a large area of sand dunes. Penhale is one of the largest dune systems in Cornwall, spanning 620 hectares, the Atlantic-facing dunes are classed as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Penhale Dunes allows dogs all year.
You can walk along the coast path from Perranporth or there is a pay-and-display car park in the dunes near the holiday camp, see our map marker for this car park.
Facilities include parking, toilets and lifeguards in the summer months.
