Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are prohibited on Swanpool Beach from 1st July to 31st August between 10 am and 6 pm.
Things To See & Do
Swanpool Beach is a small east-facing sand and pebble cove on the outskirts of Falmouth. The beach and beach road sits on the original shingle bar that separates the sea from Swanpool Lake, a unique brackish lagoon designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The lake is home to various bird species and other wildlife, making it a tranquil spot for a beach visit and scenic walk.
The nature reserve offers well-marked trails where your dog can explore and discover new scents, all while you enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There is also a coastal path leading to Gyllingvase Beach.
Access and Facilities
Facilities include a car park, toilets, shop, cafe, restaurants, seasonal beach hut hire, crazy golf and changing rooms.
After a day of exploring, you can unwind at nearby eateries. The Swanpool Beach Cafe is known for its delicious ice cream and casual fare. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, where you can enjoy a meal with a sea view.
For a more substantial dining experience. Hooked on the Rocks offers a seafood menu and a terrace with panoramic coastal views. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the outdoor areas, making it a perfect spot to end your day.
