Sidmouth Beach is a long shingle beach in the heart of Sidmouth with a wide esplanade backed by Georgian and Regency villas. The beach on the edge of town is backed by red cliffs, and at the western edge, you’ll find red sand and rock pools at low tide.
Dog Access and Rules
Are dogs allowed on Sidmouth beach? Yes, year-round on the east end of the beach, but they are not permitted on the main beach between 1 May and 30 September.

Access and Facilities
Car parking is available in the town and in a large car park on the eastern end of the beach. You have full facilities in Sidmouth town, just a short walk away, with lifeguards patrolling the beach in the summer.
