Gara Rock Beach, also known as Gara Beach, is a dog-friendly sandy beach with plenty of rocks, tunnels and caves to explore.

There are no beach facilities and limited parking, with access to the beach from the coast path, which is steep in places. If you want something to drink, or eat, or a place to stay, you have a dog-friendly hotel on the cliffs above the beach.

If you’d like to visit Gara Rock Beach from Salcombe, we would suggest taking the estuary passenger ferry and walking rather than fighting for one of the limited parking spaces.
