The Arne Nature Reserve lies to the East of Poole Harbour. This is an area of managed lowland heath along with woodland and the sand/shingle Shipstal Beach.

Dogs on a lead are welcome on the designated dog-friendly trails on the reserve. Dog water bowls and a shaded tie-up area are available at the shop, but dogs are prohibited in the visitor centre, shop or cafe.

A ramble around Arne through heathland, woodland and the harbour shores of Shipstal Beach seems miles away from the bustle of Poole and the Harbour.

Parking, cafe, shop and toilets are available in the Arne reserve car park with paths and wooden walkways taking you through the trees to the beach.
