About
Littlesea Holiday Park sits on the edge of Weymouth in Dorset. It is not right in town but is close enough to nip in for chips. You’re high up a bit, so you get a wide-open view across the Fleet Lagoon, which, although not a beachy beach, has a peaceful feel.
Dog Access and Rules
Littlesea welcomes dogs with open arms! There’s a dog-friendly restaurant terrace and walking areas near the park. You can even take well-behaved dogs into designated areas of the main restaurant.
What's On Offer
Littlesea has all the usual amenities: indoor and outdoor pools, a climbing wall, mini golf, a bar, and many eating options. The restaurant has a dog-friendly area.
There’s a little shop that sells essentials, meals, hot snacks and some souvenirs
Things To See & Do
You can’t walk straight out of the park onto a beach, but you’ve got a footpath that takes you along the edge of the Fleet Lagoon. It’s a quiet, leisurely walk, and most dogs will love it. You can’t swim in the lagoon, though, as it’s all stones and mud, so don’t expect your dog to leap about in waves.
If you want proper UK dog-friendly beaches, head to Weymouth, as although there are some seasonal restrictions, you also have parts that allow dogs to roam all year round. Otherwise, you can walk further west to places like Chesil Beach, which technically allows dogs, but it’s all shingle, no shade, and makes for a challenging walk.
Access and Facilities
Getting to Littlesea by car is straightforward. Follow signs through Weymouth. If you’re not driving, a bus from Weymouth town centre drops near the park entrance. It doesn’t run late, so watch the time if you plan to head out.
