Worbarrow Bay beach is a dog-friendly beach consisting mainly of pebbles/shingle with a little sand. The beach has a steep shelf, so swimmers reach deep water quickly.
Popular anchorage for boats due to the steep shelf, meaning boats can come right into the bay and anchor a few metres from the beach.
Because the Bay is not easy to reach, it is a great place for a dog walk, a picnic, and enjoying the outdoors.

Access and Facilities
No facilities and no parking. The best option is to park at Tyneham car park, which also has toilets, and walk the mile (20 minutes) to the beach.
Worbarrow Bay, Tyneham village and the Lulworth Ranges are managed by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and used as an Army training ground. For operational and safety reasons, access to the area is restricted to specific times; however, they are open most weekends and school holidays.
