Brighton Beach is a long pebble beach attached to a vibrant town on the south coast under an hour’s journey from London. Although not one of the prettiest beaches in the UK, it boasts an excellent 10km seafront location within Brighton and Hove.
Between 1st October and 30th April, dogs are permitted on all Brighton beaches, but from 1st May to 30th September, seasonal restrictions are in place and dogs are only permitted within smaller zones.
If we take the seafront as being from West Hove all the way to Saltdean in the east, except for the central beach west of the pier, dog zones are available all year round. You need to head eastwards from the Volks Railway Aquarium Station beside the pier for the larger dog-friendly areas.
As one of the best entertainment stretches in the UK you have plenty to do in the day and also at night with pier, seaside arcades, funfairs and the classic Regency architecture of Brighton itself. Note that dogs are not allowed on the pier.
The historic dog-friendly seafront Volks Electric Railway takes you all the way to Brighton Marina from Brighton Pier regularly during the Summer season.
Facilities are everything you expect from a seaside city: toilets, cafes, restaurants and bars, Brighton Pier, promenade, seaside arcades, funfair, and electric railway.
