The area has plenty of public footpaths and scenic trails ideal for stretching your legs and letting your dog enjoy the fresh air.
For a longer walk, visit Fairlands Valley Park or the Hitchin Lavender Fields (seasonal) within a short drive. Hitchin’s historic town centre is also worth exploring, with its cobbled streets, independent shops, and dog-friendly cafes.
If you’re up for some adventure, head to Knebworth House and Gardens, where dogs are welcome in the parkland surrounding the historic house.
Access and Facilities
The Farmhouse at Redcoats is located just outside the market town of Hitchin, Hertfordshire. It’s accessible by car and only a short distance from the A1(M). There is on-site parking available for guests.
If you’re travelling by train, Hitchin railway station is a 10-minute taxi ride away, with direct services to London and Cambridge.
