The Coastguard is practically on the beach at St Margaret’s Bay, making it the closest pub to France. It is a perfect location for something to eat and drink under the white cliffs in a spectacular environment.

What's On Offer
The Coastguard offers indoor and outdoor seating, traditional pub food, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, and food made with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. In the summer, you have a barbecue on the outdoor terrace. Drinks available include local Kent gins and real ales.
The pub has events throughout the year, from live music to outdoor cinema evenings.
The pub is part of the BritStops group and welcomes Campervans to use our car park. However, limited spaces are available, and you must book in advance.
