The Red Cow is located on Hinkley Road in Leicester Forest East. Vintage Inns run the pub and so have their classic British Pub Food menu, so don’t expect any specials here, just standard, reasonably priced pub classics.
On our visit, it was a cold day, and the bar had a fire burning, which made it very comfortable.
Dog Access and Rules
The Red Cow allows dogs on leads in the main bar area and in the outdoor areas. On your entry, you will see a dog treat area with water and dog treats. Although, as you can see in our photo above, someone had helped themselves to all the biscuits, the staff quickly refilled the bowl once we made them aware.
Access and Facilities
Leicester Forest East is located just as you pass over the M1 heading out of Leicester towards Hinckley. The pub has a large car park and outdoor areas at both the front and back. Although the pub is set back a bit, we definitely recommend the back seating areas as the road can be busy and noisy.
