About
Saltburn Beach is a large flat shingle and sand beach backed by cliffs where, although you can park at the beach level, you can also get down to the beach and pier using the dog-friendly Victorian water-powered cliff tramway.
At Saltburn Beach, dogs are allowed all year to the right of the pier with a seasonal (1st May and 30th Sept) ban to the left up to the point of access at Hazelgrove. Dogs are welcome to be walked on a lead along the promenade.
Facilities include lifeguards, a pier, a promenade, and car parks aligned to dog-friendly areas off Saltburn Road, with a smaller short stay by the pier and the larger Cat Nab long-stay car park (TS12 1HH) further along.
