Things To See & Do
The lake’s perimeter is 5 km (3 miles), its area is 340 acres, and it is 1.6 km (1 mile) long, as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), it has abundant wildlife.
Walking around Llangorse Lake isn’t possible as there isn’t a continuous path that circles the entire lake. However, there are several scenic walking routes nearby. A popular option is the Llangorse Lake Trail, which starts at the Llangors Common and takes you around the western side with views of the lake, but this loop covers only part of the area and can take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the pace. To fully explore the surrounding area, you can combine different trails or take shorter walks along the lake’s edges.
There are several picnic spots around the lake where you can sit and relax with your dog, perhaps after a walk or while enjoying the views.
