About
If you’re seeking a serene and scenic beach to enjoy with your furry friend, Breckon Sands on the island of Yell in the Shetland Islands is the perfect destination. Known for its untouched beauty, Breckon Sands offers a tranquil retreat for dog owners and their pets.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are welcome on Breckon Sands throughout the year. However, it would be best to be careful as this area is farmland, and as you have animals around, you should keep your dog under control.
Things To See & Do
Brekon Sands Beach is a white sandy beach protected by a rock headland and is the furthest north beach on Yell.
Grass-covered dunes back the beach and you have some nice walks around the headland.
Access and Facilities
Bring plenty of water and food for both you and your dog as you have no facilities.
You have a small parking area. If you follow the signs off the main road, it seems as though you are driving through farms, but if you keep going, you have a few parking spots at the end. From here, you can take the track down to Brekon Sands.
