About
Porlock Bay is a large dog-friendly beach consisting of pebbles and is rare in this cliff-dominated stretch of the Somerset coast. The beach is split into a number Porlock Weir, Porlock and Bossington.
Behind the shingle ridge of the beach, you have Porlock Marsh, an inland salt marsh.
Access is best at Porlock Weir, where facilities are beside the beach’s western end and include car parking, toilets and a pub. An alternative is to park at the National Trust Bossington car park and take a longer coast-path walk to the eastern end of the beach.
