Sugar Loaf Beach is a dog-friendly small cove by the Portishead Sailing Club. The beach is a shingle/pebble mix, but as this is an estuary beach, you get large areas of soft mud as the tide goes out.
The beach also has an old, small tidal pool, good for splashing around on a hot day.
Dog Access and Rules
Sugar Loaf Beach allows dogs year-round with no seasonal restrictions. This is a small cove, and so your dog will need to be kept under control out of respect to other beachgoers.

Sugar Loaf Beach is a secluded cove with no facilities and limited car parking on nearby roads.
