About
Kessingland Beach is situated between Lowestoft and Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. This stretch of shoreline is known for its peaceful charm, offering a mix of shingle and sand backed by grassy dunes. Kessingland Beach is less popular than the nearby Suffolk beaches at Lowestoft and attracts dog walkers and sports like kitesurfing, kitebuggies and landboarding.
Dog Access and Rules
One of the best things about Kessingland Beach is dogs are allowed all year round.
Things To See & Do
Over time, Kessingland has transformed into a favourite destination for those seeking a more laid-back seaside experience away from the crowds of nearby larger resorts. The beach is loved for its raw, natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere. This quieter atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for well-behaved dogs to enjoy some off-lead fun, especially during low tide when the beach stretches out for miles.
The vast expanse of the beach is perfect for a stroll or a brisk walk. Your dog will love exploring the mixture of sand, shingle, and dunes.
Are you interested in beachcombing? With its natural, untamed feel, the beach often reveals interesting finds like driftwood, shells, and even fossils.
