About
Tucked close to Mumbles, Limeslade Bay is small, rocky and full of character. It’s the sort of beach that feels hidden even though you’re only a short walk from the village. Bring a dog here and you’ll see straight away why it works, with quiet corners and good rock pools.
Dog Access and Rules
Limeslade Bay Beach has seasonal dog restrictions, with dogs being banned from May 1st to September 30th.
Things To See & Do
The bay is surrounded by rugged rocks, the kind that dogs love hopping over. If you like a stretch, the coast path runs in both directions, one way toward Bracelet Bay and the other toward Rotherslade and Langland Bay. Both are short but sweet walks with sea views that stop you in your tracks.
Access and Facilities
Reaching Limeslade Bay Beach is easy on foot from Mumbles – about ten minutes along the coast road, although you have some steep steps down to the beach itself. If you’re driving, there’s a small car park located right above the bay, although it fills up quickly on summer days. Parking at Bracelet Bay and walking over is another option, which provides an extra leg stretch.
Buses from Swansea stop near Mumbles, and it’s a short stroll from there. Facilities are simple, with public toilets just up the slope, and a cafe nearby.
