Things To See & Do
Ogmore Castle is located near Bridgend in South Wales, just a stone’s throw from Ogmore-by-Sea. Originally built as a wooden fort in the 12th century, it evolved into a stone fortress as part of a network of Norman strongholds in the region.
You can wander through the remains, imagining life in Norman Wales. You can also try crossing the Stepping Stones. These iconic stones provide a fun challenge for you and your dog, though caution is advised during high tide or after heavy rainfall.
Just a short drive or scenic walk away, Ogmore-by-Sea Beach offers year-round dog access and plenty of space for a run or a paddle.
Access and Facilities
Ogmore Castle is easily accessible by car, although has no facilities other than a car park.
