About
Roundhay Park is one of Leeds’s most popular destinations for dog owners. This expansive park offers over 700 acres of open spaces, woodlands, and lakes, making it the perfect place for a day out with your furry friend.
Dog Access and Rules
Many parts of the park are perfect for letting your dog explore off-lead as long as they are controlled.
Things To See & Do
You have a variety of terrains, from grassy fields to shaded woodland paths, and your dog will enjoy a mix of surfaces and new scents.
Roundhay Park has two large lakes, Waterloo Lake and Upper Lake. The scenic paths around these are ideal for a stroll, with plenty of spots to pause and enjoy the view.
While dogs arenโt allowed in the Tropical World attraction, they can accompany you around the beautiful formal gardens near the mansion. Along with the gardens and parkland, the park features woodland areas with winding trails perfect for dog walking.
Access and Facilities
Ample parking is available, with car parks distributed around the park’s main entrances.
The family run independent Lakeside Cafe has outdoor seating where you and your pup can relax after your walk.
