Bio :
Iโm Ian, dog owner and founder of MyPAWfectPlace, an IT professional who loves the outdoors and believes we shouldnโt have to leave our dogs behind or rely on guesswork when planning a day out.
I explore the UK with my dog, checking details that matter, like off-lead walks or whether a cafe welcomes dogs inside or only allows them outside. Each guide uses first-hand experience or carefully verified research, so you can plan with confidence.
My background in IT means I naturally focus on accuracy, structure, and keeping information up to date โ not just publishing and forgetting. I regularly revise listings for changes in access, facilities, and dog policies.
My aim is simple: to help you find places where you and your dog are truly welcome, without the uncertainty.

Thanks for raising the query, but we have double checked this, and Boscombe beach doesn’t allow dogs between May and the end of September. There are dog-friendly stretches on some of the pool beaches and then heading east past Southbourne onto Hengistbury Head.

Weekday walk, late afternoon autumn light. One of my favourite locations in the Wendover area.
This has to be one of the best family beaches in Cornwall for spending the whole day. Yes, you do have seasonal restrictions but also plenty of dog-friendly area allowing you to get some good bodyboarding and SUP in and have the dog on the beach.
It always has to be a visit when in the town – the best ice cream. Family each have their favourites, but for me, it has to be a Shipwreck in a cone.
It’s a great place to eat. I visited twice on my last week in St Ives, once for breakfast and once for an evening meal. Both times, there was excellent service, and the food was good. Our large group included meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians, all of whom were accommodated on the menu.
