About
Black Rock Beach is to the south of Bude at the southern end of Widemouth Bay, and marks the rockier end of this long beach. The north end is a larger expanse of sand, though it has seasonal dog restrictions, whereas Black Rock Beach allows dogs year-round.
The beach’s rocky expanse offers an ideal opportunity for rock-pooling enthusiasts, with an abundance of marine life waiting to be discovered at low tide.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are welcome on Black Rock all year.
You do need to be aware that this is the southern part of Widemouth Bay beach, which has a daytime seasonal dog ban from 15th May to 30 September, between 10 am and 6 pm.

Facilities at the beach include a cafe, a large car park, seasonal lifeguards and toilets.
