About
Readymoney Cove is tucked just outside the harbour town of Fowey. A small, sheltered cove with soft sand and gently lapping water. Compared to Cornwall’s wilder north coast, everything here feels calmer.
Boats often bob quietly in the bay, and the surrounding greenery softens the whole scene. It’s the sort of place where you naturally slow down, whether you’re sitting on the sand or wandering along the shoreline with your dog.
And if you look up along the coast path, you’ll spot St Catherine’s Castle situated on the cliffs — a lovely indication that there’s more to explore just beyond the cove.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are restricted on Readymoney Cove during peak season, from 1st July to 31st August, between 10 am and 6 pm.
Outside of those times, you will be fine, early mornings and evenings and off-season visits.
If you’re visiting during restricted hours, the nearby coast path still offers a lovely dog walk to St Catherine’s Castle.
Things To See & Do
The calm, sheltered waters make this beach a great spot for a relaxed splash, ideal for dogs who aren’t keen on big waves.
It’s not a huge beach, but there’s enough space at low tide for a wander along the sand.
Follow the coastal path up to St Catherine’s Castle for a scenic, slightly more adventurous walk with beautiful views.
