Because it sits close to the Monsal Trail and some of the most scenic walking around Monsal Dale, the Packhorse is a natural end‑point for dog‑friendly routes in this part of the Peaks. Parking is available on the village road. For most people, walking in Monsal Dale and on the Monsal Trail, The Packhorse Inn is just a 10-minute walk along a lane from Monsal Head.
