About
Bayard’s Cove is located in the charming coastal town of Dartmouth on the south coast of Devon. The fort, built in the early 16th century, is a small artillery fortification that once protected the harbour town from potential naval attacks. Despite its modest size, Bayard’s Cove Fort played a significant role in Dartmouth’s defences. The fort is situated at the end of Bayard’s Cove, a picturesque cobbled quay that has appeared in many films and television series.
