Access and Facilities
Sugary Cove Beach is a bit off the beaten path, but its seclusion adds to its appeal. The easiest way to reach Sugary Cove is by walking from Dartmouth Castle. Follow the South West Coast Path from the castle grounds, and you’ll find the path down to the beach. The walk is relatively short but involves some steep sections and steps.
The castle has a cafe, and there is a grassy picnic area above the cove.
