Several walking trails around Start Point, including parts of the South West Coast Path. These trails offer various levels of difficulty and length, with some providing easy strolls and others offering more challenging hikes. You can walk to nearby dog-friendly Mattiscombe Beach.

Although no dogs are allowed, the Start Point Lighthouse is occasionally open for guided tours, providing a fascinating glimpse into maritime history. Check ahead for opening times and tour availability.
Access and Facilities
At Start Point, about half a mile from the lighthouse, there is a car park that charges by the day. No other facilities are available.
