About
Canty Bay Beach is near North Berwick in East Lothian, Scotland. This small yet stunning bay offers sweeping views of the North Sea and the iconic Bass Rock, a volcanic island home to thousands of seabirds.
At Canty Bay, two beaches are separated by a rocky headland with a cafe.
The western beach is uninhabited and accessible by two paths descending the grass-covered cliffs from the Glen golf course to the east or the cafe at the west end.
The second eastern beach is by the hamlet, with a private road that makes it difficult to access.
Dog Access and Rules
Both of the beaches at At Canty Bay are dog-friendly all year round, and the cafe allows dogs to sit at the outside tables.
Access and Facilities
Canty Bay beaches are not easy to reach, and there is no parking other than for cafe customers.
