John Muir Country Park has some great walks in its 41.74 ha (103.14 acres) along the beach or through the dunes, Scots Pines or parkland.

The park includes Belhaven Bay Beach, a great dog-friendly beach west of Dunbar. The bay is a large, rural, flat sandy beach backed by sand dunes and grassy areas stretching from Belhaven on Dunbar’s outskirts to the River Tyne’s mouth.

Car parking and toilets are available at the Linkfield car park, additional toilets are at Shore Road, but for facilities like shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants you must go into the nearby Dunbar.
