About
Hornsea Beach is sandy with shingle and wooden groynes, part of the continuous stretch of the East Riding of Yorkshire’s coastline, to the north, you can see the picturesque Flamborough Headland.
Hornsea Beach has a dog ban between 1st May and 30th September but as this is just part of a large stretch of sand you have options if you walk a little outside of the town.
Facilities at the beach include parking, toilets, a promenade, amusements, a cafe/restaurant, shops, and seasonal lifeguards, and on the promenade above the beach, some chalets are available to hire.
Hornsea Beach is also the start or finishing point of the Trans Pennine Trail.
