About
Brighton Marina is often missed by those visiting Brighton. The marina’s promenade offers a lovely walk where you can enjoy views of the boats and the sea. It’s a peaceful, spacious area where your dog (on a lead) can stretch their legs while you soak in the atmosphere. You also have several cafes, pubs, and restaurants with outdoor seating areas where dogs are welcome.
One of the most popular things to do is take the Undercliff Walk, a scenic path from the marina to Saltdean in the east. It’s an easy walk, and you will enjoy the fresh sea breeze and dramatic cliffs.
If your dog enjoys time by the water, the marina is perfect outside of the summer season. Pebble beaches are on either side, although seasonal (1 May to 30 Sept) bans apply.
Access and Facilities
Brighton Marina is easily accessible by car from Brighton’s city centre. There’s plenty of parking available. Regular buses run from Brighton’s city centre directly to the marina.
If you’re staying in Brighton, you can reach the marina by walking along the promenade or the Volk’s Electric Railway, which runs from Brighton Pier to a station within a few minutes walk from the marina; this is an excellent dog-friendly alternative to walking.
If you’re staying to the east in Saltdean, the Undercliff Walk offers beautiful views of the sea and cliffs.
