About
Aberffraw Bay, or Traeth Mawr Beach, is a dog-friendly, large, sandy bay with sand dunes. This is an Area of Special Scientific Interest.
The beach is somewhat remote, which stops it from getting too busy. To reach the beach, you have a half-mile walk across the dunes or beside the River Ffraw, which enters the sea at the top end of the beach. When starting in Aberffraw, make sure you walk on the far side of the river.
Parking is on the roads either within or just outside Aberffraw, whilst for facilities, the village has a shop, pub and small dog-friendly cafe.
