About
Porth Trecastell beach is a dog friendly sandy beach tucked away in a cove below the Neolithic burial chamber of Barclodiad y Gawres on the headland above. The beach is also known as Cable Bay because the bay is the place where telegraph cables linking Britain with Ireland and America reached land.
The beach is a remote beach with rock pools on either side and is a popular beach for those who enjoy kayaking, canoeing and snorkelling
Parking right beside the beach but no other facilities although if you are lucky you may get an ice cream van.
