About
Porth Trecastell beach is a dog-friendly sandy beach tucked away in a cove below the Neolithic burial chamber of Barclodiad y Gawres on the headland above. The beach is also known as Cable Bay because it is where telegraph cables linking Britain with Ireland and America reached land.
The beach is a remote beach with rock pools on either side and is a popular beach for those who enjoy kayaking, canoeing and snorkelling
