About
Bispham Beach is a sandy, dog-friendly beach with the Blackpool tramway running along the length of the seafront behind the promenade at Bispham. The beach at Bispham is less busy on summer days than its Blackpool neighbour, and unlike the main Blackpool beaches with summer dog restrictions, you can access it with dogs all year round at Bispham.
The beach at Bispham has a wide promenade along the concrete sea defences, and when you have a high tide, you have no beach, but when the tide is out, you have miles and miles of sandy beach to run on. Even when the tide is in, the promenade offers a nice dog walk with benches.
One option is to catch the tram to Bispham and then walk back to Blackpool along the beach and/or promenade.
Dog Access and Rules
Bispham Beach allows dogs year-round.
Access and Facilities
You can access Bispham on the Blackpool tramway, and you have toilets by the tram stop and a few cafes back in the houses.
To access the beach, you need to drop down a few levels: first, drop down from the tramway to the main promenade and then drop down again from the sea defence wall onto the beach.
