Blackpool has a long beachfront with the three main beach sections being marked by the piers.

• The Golden Mile is the central stretch of sand and promenade that runs between Blackpool’s north and south piers. Blackpool Golden Mile does not allow dogs between 1 May and 30 September.
• The North Shore Beach northwards from North Pier, continuing to Bispham, dogs are welcome on a lead to the north of North Pier.
• The South Shore Beach runs from the South Pier but is more known for the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Park. No dogs are allowed on South Shore Beach between 1 May and 30 September.

Blackpool attracts a lot of day-trippers but if you want crowd-free beach dog walks then it is best to head north or south to some of the other Lancashire beaches.
