We visited last night without our dog and so settled for the restaurant area. There was plenty of space in the bar area as most people were outside in the garden. The visit brought back great memories as this was the first pub I visited as a teenager when I lived in Birstall, and I had not been back for nearly 30 years. The food was excellent. Three of us went for the rump steak, one for hunter’s chicken and another for gammon steak. I can’t fault the food, drink or service; I recommend a visit with or without your dog!
