About
Wild Duck Holiday Park is in Norfolk, not far from Great Yarmouth. It’s got more trees than people in some spots, and it’s quieter than a lot of the bigger caravan parks on the coast.
If you’ve got a dog that doesn’t love busy crowds and prefers snuffling about in the woods or padding along quiet tracks, this place works well.
Dog-Friendly Policies
You can bring your dog, although dogs aren’t allowed in the main complex buildings, they can access the restaurant terrace and designated areas inside the restaurant.
What's On Offer
The park’s got both static caravans and some lodges. There’s a pool, an arcade, and the usual kids’ stuff. Can’t take the dog in the pool for obvious reasons. But the woodland all around makes up for it. There’s a shop on site for basics.
Things To See & Do
The woods around the park are nice for walking, where you have loads of little paths and not many people on them.
Hopton Beach is about a 10–15 minute drive. It’s not massive, but when the tide’s out, it’s great and dogs are allowed year-round in some parts. Scratby beach is another good one. It’s a bit pebbly in places, but it’s less busy than Great Yarmouth and easier to park.
At Gorleston beach, you can walk miles, and there’s a lovely little cafe up on the promenade where you can grab a sausage bap and give your dog a drink. They’ve got bins everywhere too, which saves carrying bags for a long time.
Access and Facilities
If you’re driving, you’ll find it just off the A143. It’s signed, but the last bit’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.
Buses go from Great Yarmouth, but honestly, it’s easier with a car, especially if you’re planning beach days or bringing dog gear.
There are takeaway options for food, like pizzas and fish and chips.
