Alnmouth beach is a quiet sandy beach with dunes just outside the Northumberland village of Alnmouth on the mouth of the River Aln, hence the name “Alnmouth”.
You should be very careful when entering the water, and you should not enter near the river mouth, as there are very strong currents.

Alnmouth Beach is dog-friendly all year round.
Access and Facilities
Facilities include a small car park by the village or a large one just outside, toilets, a variety of gift shops, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops in the village, some 10 minutes’ walk away.
