About
Druidston Haven Beach is one of those places that feels like a bit of a secret. Tucked away on the Pembrokeshire coast, it’s not the kind of beach you stumble across—you’ve got to know it’s there. That’s part of what makes it great. No noisy arcades, no crowds, just a huge, open beach backed by towering cliffs. Perfect for dogs that love to run without stopping every five seconds to dodge a sunbather’s towel.
Dog Access and Rules
Dogs are allowed on Druidston Haven Beach all year round. Just let them off the lead, and they’ll be zooming around. However, it’s still best to keep an eye out, as others may not be comfortable with dogs running around.
Things To See & Do
If you’re after a proper runaround, Druidston Haven has enough space for even the most hyperactive dogs. The beach is massive when the tide’s out, with plenty of rock pools and little caves to snuffle around.
A cracking stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right past the beach up on the cliffs. You can head north towards Nolton Haven or south towards Broad Haven, which has spectacular views. Just be warned, some paths have steep drops, and if your dog is the type to go full speed at anything interesting, a lead might be a good idea.
Access and Facilities
Finding Druidston Haven isn’t the most straightforward task. There are no facilities at Druidston Haven, and access is by one of the coastal footpaths, although the nearby Druidstone Hotel sits up on the cliffs with a bar and a terrace that looks straight over the bay. They’re dog-friendly inside and out.
